Hanifa’s path into financial services has been shaped by a mix of personal experiences and professional growth—from her early years in Uganda to her upbringing in Massachusetts, and now to her new home in Arizona.
She was just four years old when her family relocated from Uganda to Massachusetts. Hanifa gained a practical understanding of the role that financial stability and community support play in everyday life—insights that later sparked her interest in the world of finance. Hanifa began her career at Putnam Investments, gaining a strong foundation in financial services before moving on to Raytheon Technologies. After several years at Raytheon, she found herself drawn back to the more personal side of finance and the meaningful impact it can have on individuals and families.
Today, Hanifa serves as the Client Services Manager for the Waymark team and holds her SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses through LPL Financial, as well as a BSBA in Finance and Management and an MBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts. In this role, she’s the engine behind smooth client onboarding, back-office operations, systems management, and the preparation of financial reports. But for Hanifa, it's never just about numbers. She’s deeply invested in building lasting relationships, learning each client’s story, and growing as an Administrator to offer kind and thoughtful assistance.
Now living in Arizona, Hanifa enjoys spending time outdoors throughout the year. She’s taken up hiking, golfing, and recently added CrossFit to her routine, appreciating the balance and energy these activities bring to her life outside of work. She also loves traveling and exploring new places, often with her boyfriend, Mike, who shares her enthusiasm for adventure and is always ready to join her in discovering new destinations. At home, she enjoys the company of her cat, Boo—though like many cat owners, she’d describe their relationship as equal parts affectionate and exasperating.
